How the test is performed

Using miRview® mets2 and miRview® mets
MicroRNA extraction
Rosetta Genomics has developed an innovative method to rapidly, robustly, and accurately extract microRNAs from a wide range of sample types. Currently, miRview tests can be performed on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) samples Our ability to extract microRNA from FFPE samples is key to the clinical applicability of our cancer diagnostics1. Because FFPE samples do not require special storage, they may be held at room temperature and sent for evaluation via standard shipping methods. MicroRNA evaluation
Once the sample is received by Rosetta Genomics, the microRNA material is extracted and quantitatively evaluated. In the majority of cases, miRview mets returns a single tissue prediction with 90% sensitivity2.
