miRview® meso measures the expression level of three microRNA biomarkers. The test calculates two scores, which are quantitative indicators of the amount of three specific microRNAs in the sample as measured by qualitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR).

The test scores are then compared to predefined threshold values. When both scores are greater than zero, the test outcome is mesothelioma. Otherwise, the test outcome is non-mesothelioma.
