About miRview® lung

What is miRview® lung?
miRview® lung is a new kind of test. Your doctor can use it to tell if you have SCLC, carcinoid, squamous NSCLC or non-squamous NSCLC.

How does miRview® lung work?
miRview® lung is different from other tests. It is more accurate because it uses cutting-edge technology to measure tiny amounts of material in your tumor sample1. The material it measures is called microRNA. microRNAs are short RNA molecules that regulate gene expression in our cells. Once your sample has been tested, a clear, easy-to-understand report will be generated. Your doctor will receive this report about 10 days after he or she sends in your sample for processing. The report will tell your doctor whether you have SCLC, carcinoid, squamous NSCLC or non-squamous NSCLC.

How accurate is miRview® lung?
miRview® lung uses highly sensitive technology to measure the level of microRNAs in your sample. The sensitivity and specificity of this test have been shown to be 93.7% and 98%, respectively2.
