The technology
In September 2009, Rosetta Genomics won the Medical-Biotech category of the Wall Street Journal's Technology Innovation Awards for the development of its microRNA-based diagnostic tests.
The miRview™ mets assay uses quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR) technology to determine the expression of microRNA in tumor tissue. In the majority of cases, miRview™ mets returns a single tissue prediction with 90% sensitivity and 99% specificity, enabling physicians and patients to make informed treatment decisions
