About miRview® mets tests
What are the miRview® mets tests?
miRview® mets2 and miRview® mets are a new kind of tests for cancer patients who have a tumor of uncertain or unknown origin. Your doctor can use it to identify the primary origin of your cancer. How do the miRview® mets tests work?
miRview® mets2 and miRview® mets are different from other tests. they are very accurate because they use cutting-edge technology to measure tiny amounts of material in your tumor sample1. The material it measures is called microRNA.Once your sample has been tested, miRview® mets tests generate a clear, easy-to-understand report. Your doctor will receive this report about 10 days after he or she sends in your sample for processing. In most cases, this report will be able to tell your doctor the primary origin of your cancer. How accurate are the miRview® mets tests?
miRview® mets2 and miRview® mets use highly sensitive technologies to measure the level of microRNAs in your sample. In the majority of cases, they generate a single answer, which identifies the origin of the cancer with 90% sensitivity2.
